Linux is the Future. Learn it
3
I can help you make sense of the weird, wild, wonderful world of alternative operating systems. By alternative, I mean not Windows, with all its security nightmares and inefficiencies, and not MacOS, with all its bloat and associated expense.
The vast majority of computer users don't need 'for-pay' operating systems and could benefit from leaving them behind. Unless you have an application you must use for your profession, such as Adobe Creative Suite stuff, or a specific 3D modeling suite, odds are you're selling yourself short by continuing to use insecure, largely irrelevant operating systems.
If you have a question about how to do a thing or want to know what you can do to start out in the open source world, I can point you in the right direction.
I can teach you the command line, the nuances of the GUI, how to find, add, update, and even use software that you need not pay for.
Training & Qualifications
I have used Unix and *nix type operating systems since I was young. Linux came along in the 90's and I have never looked back. I can still do stuff with Windows but it's no longer necessary in all but extreme niche cases. I have used almost all of the major distributions but cut my teeth on Slackware in the early days. I was born on the command line and learned how to set up multiple monitor systems before it was an automated process.
In short, I know Linux.
