Learn edible weeds in your yard
40
I will look at up to 10 photos sent in of overgrown/weedy areas in your yard and type up a description of up to 5 of the top edible weeds I see and the best ways to prepare them.
I will send back the photos with markings to specify which plants I am describing. Also, I will include a description with warnings of any possible look-alikes to be cautious of. And lastly, I will describe the flavor and share some of my favorite recipes and uses for the plant.
Some yards have more variety of tasty greens than others, and the season also will make a difference in which plants are visible. But if I cannot spot 5 edible weeds, I will just include more recipes/cooking ideas for the ones that I do spot.
It is my hope to inspire you to get excited about the abundance already growing on your property.
Learn your land! It can be pretty tasty. :)
Training & Qualifications
I have been foraging for about four years now. Every day, I eat something wild. This year, my goal is to preserve wild-foraged food all growing season so that I will have a supply to last me through winter. The food is out there. It's now just a matter of finding enough time.
