Political Conversation Workshops
50
I'll facilitate a workshop for your community or friends, exploring how to have calmer, more-connected, and perhaps more convincing political discussions.
Do you and your friends go home at Thanksgiving and get into pointless, heated political arguments? Or silence yourselves so you don't get into arguments? Want to explore having healthy and connected conversations even with good people who have very different ideologies? See: http://www.cognitivepolitics.org/workshops
These are appropriate for small groups, like having friends over for a potluck then I'll lead a discussion, or an interesting activity for a church group, or for friends you met campaigning in the primary.
These workshops focus on a mix of approaches including: active listening, nvc, reviewing both political and emotional goals, and exploring common ways that we misinterpret values across different ideologies.
Nearby to Berkeley/BART only (feel free to contact about other locations, Nashville and the Pacific Northwest are rarely but sometimes possible.)
