English Journaling Worksheets (5)
1
This file includes different daily/weekly journals that I use with all of my own young learners. I've included three different levels that have increasing amounts of writing and language complexity. There's a "weekly" and a "daily" version when necessary, in A4 and letter size. Both PDFs and Word documents of each journal page are included. This is a total of five documents: beginner, weekly intermediate, daily intermediate, weekly advanced, and daily advanced.
It's a simple activity, but a journal is a great warm-up. A student's daily (or weekly) journal is a window into the development of their language and writing skills as well as their personality and personal lives. It's also fun for students to keep and collect their journal entries over the course of a term or school year and then look back on them later. When I first got the idea to make journaling a regular part of my EFL instruction, it was impossible to find exactly what I was looking for, so I made it myself. Hopefully other teachers (EFL and otherwise) will benefit from my frustration!
