Convert a PAL DVD to NTSC Format
5
Have you ever bought a DVD that happened to be for the wrong region? Without a universal player or something that's jimmy-rigged in various ways, this can be a pain. Ultimately, though, it keeps you from being able to do what you really want, which is sitting down and relaxing with a TV series, a concert, a documentary series, or a movie.
Although I've benefited from torrent files for out-of-print items in the past (especially music-oriented bootlegs), my service here isn't to provide an explanation of that. Rather, I'd like to provide you with the tools and know-how needed to convert your existing DVDs that are in PAL format so they can be compatible with another region of DVD player (usually NTSC, which is prevalent in much of North America and Japan). The reverse process (NTSC to PAL) is also possible to do. I can explain the programs and hardware needed to carry this out within less than an hour.
Training & Qualifications
I've been a music and movie buff for at least the last 20 years, with an interest in collecting everything I've most enjoyed over time in order to build a nice library. As part of that process, I've run into compatibility issues once in a while and have been forced to learn some workarounds so I can see and enjoy certain things without blowing a fortune.
Availability & Preferences
I'm typically free during the morning and afternoons on weekdays and weekends.
