Move Beyond Limits offers Feldenkrais and Anat Baniel Method services for adults and children. Adults typically use our services for pain relief, and improved comfort and confidence in daily activities. Children with special needs can use Anat Baniel Method, (A specialty of Feldenkrais), to help with a variety of developmental challenges. Feldenkrais and ABM sessions are always gentle, pain-free, and fun.

We offer a first free session to any adult or family who's curious and wanting to explore.

For adults:

Do you have pain or stiffness that you haven't found relief for despite trying many things? Would you like to learn to move more comfortably, and to know how to get yourself out of pain? Working together on your goals, we'll help you find pain relief, and become more at ease, more flexible, and more coordinated. Think of it as learning and getting good at finding the easy way to do things.

For special needs children and infants:

Children start their learning through movement. Early in life infants just wiggle and notice what happens. If physical or genetic challenges have disrupted your child's learning, we can use movement to help your child resume their learning. This helps the child learn to learn, as well as achieving practical results in areas they've been stuck on: whether it be opening a spastic fist and grasping a toy; sitting, crawling, or walking on their own; becoming more independent; or beginning to babble or talk.

HISTORY:

Established in 2008.

Move Beyond Limits was founded by Ed Mills and Irene Pasternack. Our Feldenkrais journey started with our own recovery from pain, and the re-awakening we felt as we became able to do our favorite activities again.

We've been married 26 years, and enjoy working as a team and watching and celebrating our clients as they move from pain and restriction to living their dreams.

We opened our current space in Bellevue in 2012, with easy parking, and room to work with multiple family members at one time.

ABOUT IRENE & ED:

Ed Mills and Irene Pasternack are certified Feldenkrais and Anat Baniel Method practitioners. We strive to create a safe, comfortable and fun environment for learning new, easier movement patterns. Our goal is to help you get out of pain and move toward your dreams.

Ed has a BA in math, and an MS in computer science, and is an NLP coach-practitioner. He was a software developer at Microsoft until 1995 when he left to become a stay-at-home parent.

Irene has a BA in Biology, an MA in Applied Behavioral Science, and is an NLP Master Practitioner. Prior to becoming a Feldenkrais practitioner, she worked as a technical writer, manager, organizational development consultant, ropes-course leader, and counselor for at-risk teens.

We currently offer a variety of classes: Feldenkrais, Anat Baniel Method for special needs children, partner dance, hula hooping, and skating.
